ceramic honeycombs are utilized in catalysts, active catalysis and air flow distributors,
They are also used for heat exchanger processes, electro-chemical applications
and carrier bodies for biological applications and still utilized in catalytic
converters for purifying vehicle exhaust gas, and reducing carbon monoxide and smog.

When used in metal liquid filtration, they have the functions as:
